Will of John Ingram Smith Senior from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 382 probate year 1928

In re       DECEASED.
      JOHN INGRAM SMITH.

I John Ingram Smith of Bishops Cove Newfoundland being in sound mind do hereby direct that my testamentary expenses be paid by my executor herein after named as soon as possible after my decease.
I give and bequeath to my daughters, Sarah Smith, Elizabeth Elsie Lundrigan Eliza Clarke and Elizabeth Ratchel Barrett each the sum of five dollars $5.00 and to my granddaughter Gladys Smith now residing in Boston the sum of five dollars $5.00 these sums to be paid by my executor as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give and bequeath to my wife Ratchel my house, household furniture, land and all and every sum or sums of money which may be found of mine in my house or about my person (except the sums mention above named) or due to me at the time of my decease; and also all and every other item of my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever both real and personal.
I desire that my two sons Moses Drover Smith and John Ingram Smith shall work the estate and all that appertains thereto under their mothers direction and that they in every way provide for their mothers comfort and needs. I further desire that after the death of my wife Ratchel, my estate heretofore named shall be divided equally between my two sons Moses Drover Smith and John Ingram Smith to share and share alike if either of the sons die his share shall go to his wife and children but if the wife marry again the share shall go to his the deceased sons children.
I nominate constitute and appoint Josiah Clarke to be my executor of this my will and hereby revoke all other wills and testaments by me at any time heretofore made I declare this to be my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I the said John Ingram Smith have to this my last will and testament set my hand the twenty sixth seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty seven.

Signed by the testator and acknowledged by him to be his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time and subscribed by us in the presence of the said testator and of each other.
