In re
JOHN SMITH deceased.
I John Smith residing at Fogo,
being in good health and of a sound mind but mindful of the uncertainty of
life, do make this my last will and testament.
1. I bequeath one half of
my dwelling house to my wife Elizabeth Anna Smith and the other half to my
daughter Eliza Smith. My wife to have the first choice. At the death of my
wife the whole house shall become the property of my daughter Eliza
Smith.
II. I bequeath one half of my household furniture to my wife Elizabeth
Anna Smith & the other half to my daughter Eliza Smith.
III. My wife & daughter shall have the joint use of store house & other
property not specified
IV. I leave whatever money I may die possessed
of to my daughter Eliza Smith.
V.
Should my wife die before me, I leave everything that I may die possessed of
to my daughter Eliza Smith
VI. I appoint
Walter Card and George Bignall both of Fogo
to be the executors of this my will & testament. Witness
my hand this eighth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred & ninety. John

other at the same time subscribe our names as witnesses Chas.
