Last will and Testament of
George Smith of Topsail
Fisherman deceased

      This is the last will and Testament of me George Smith of Topsail in the District of Harbor Maine, Newfoundland. I give and bequeath my house with all its effects and all the land surrounding it also my land on the Spruce Hill road at the time of my decease unto my wife Ellen Smith for her sole use during her natural life and after her decease to my son William Kenneth Smith absolutely and I appoint Mr. Thomas Fowler sole Executor of this my will and revoke all previous wills by me at any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand this eighteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and ninety. (Sgd) George his X mark Smith.    Signed by the said George Smith the testator in our presence, who in and in the presence of each other at the same time subscribe our names as witnesses.
