Will of Julia Small In re Julia Small deceased I Julia Small of Mortons Harbor in the electoral district of Twillingate Newfoundland widow on the thirtieth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, declare this to be my last Will & Testament. I give & bequeath to my son, Willis Small all the money that will remain after my decease. I appoint my said son executor of this my will. In witness whereof I Julia Small, have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth day of December 1915 - Julia Small - subscribed by the testatrix in the presence of each of us and at the same time, after the will was read in her presence, & after she declared it to be perfectly agreeable & when she appears to be in her right mind witness our hands this thirtieth day of December A.D. 1915 Jabez Small Ray W. Osmond Correct Charles H. Emerson (Listed in the margin next to this will the following)

Note: The wills in those will books are NOT actual wills.
They are hand-written copies of a, "last will and testament," written
by the court clerk, after the death of the testator, when the executor
presented them to the court for probate. The court clerk didn't list
the signatures at the bottom, he (or she) just put them in the book
in whatever order they were in, on the original document, no spacing
most of the time, no punctuation. The originals were kept by the executor.
We who have typed these wills, have made every effort to include all the errors that were on the microfilm, in order to avoid destroying the integrity of the originals, where ever they may be. |
