Will of James Slade In re This is the last will and Testament of me James Slade of Durrell’s Arm Twillingate fisherman; being of sound mind and memory. I hereby give and bequeath to my wife Lucy Ann Slade my share of the dwelling house now occupied by me with my part of the Fishing Room and all other ground thereto belonging such as garden &c and also a sum of Three Hundred Dollars in the Bank of Montreal Savings Bank, with another sum of Three hundred Dollars or thereabouts, in the House, the same to be for her sole use and benefit so long as she remains unmarried. But in case of her marrying again the property and monies, or such of the monies as remain unspent, shall go to my adopted son George Stuckless the younger, for his use. I appoint Arthur Ashbourne Esq, merchant, of Farmers Arm Twillingate to be executor of this my will witness my hand and seal this 20th day of August in the year of our Lord 1905 James Slade (LS) Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of us as witnesses Samuel Jenkins fisherman F.
