Will of Ann Sinnott
from Newfoundland will books volume 3 pages 57-58 probate year 1867

In re
Ann Sinnott deceased.

This is the last will of me Ann Sinnott of Twillingate in the Island of Newfoundland Spinster, I give devise and bequeath to my brother in law Thomas Boone of Twillingate aforesaid, Clerk, and to his heirs and assigns for ever all my estate, property and effects, both real and personal, and of what nature and kind soever and wheresoever situate, to be and remain at and for his sole and absolute disposal use and benefit. And I hereby nominate and appoint the said Thomas Boone to be my sole executor.
Ann Sinnott.
Signed published and declared by the said testatrix as her last will in our presence who in his presence have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses at Twillingate in the said Island this thirteenth day of August A.D. eighteen hundred and sixty-one- John Pearson, Incumbent of St. Mary's, St. John's, N.F.L. Reginald M. Johnson Missionary of Fogo.

Note: The wills in those will books are NOT actual wills. They are either hand-written copies or in later years typed copies of a, "last will and testament," written or typed by the court clerk, after the death of the testator, when the executor presented them to the court for probate. The court clerk didn't list the signatures at the bottom, he (or she) just put them in the book in whatever order they were in, on the original document, no spacing most of the time, no punctuation. The originals were kept by the executor.

We who have typed these wills, have made every effort to include all the errors that were on the microfilm, in order to avoid destroying the integrity of the originals, where ever they may be.
