Last will and Testament of
Catherine Simms of St. John’s
This is the last will and Testament
of me Catharine Simms of St. John’s in the Island
of Newfoundland. Widow.
First. I give devise and bequeath to my daughters
Hannah Simms and Margaret Simms and
their respective heirs Executors and administrators share and share alike
all monies property and everything that I may be possessed of at the
time of my death.
Second. I appoint my son Alfred Simms the Executor
of this my last will and Testament. And I hereby revoke all former wills
by me at my time made - In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand
this Eighth day of October A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety
(sd) Catherine Simms. Signed by the said Catherine
Simms in our presence
as and for her last will and Testament who in her presence at her request
and in the presence of each other have hereto set our hands as witnesses
(sd) John S. Simms. (Sd) Augustus O. Hayward
I certify the foregoing to be
a correct copy of a duplicate of the last will and Testament of Catherine
D. M. Browning
