In re
      WILLIAM SHALLOW.     DECEASED.

I, William Shallow, of the City and County of Halifax, Province of Nova Scotia, Seaman, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, and hereby revoke all former Wills and Testamentary writings heretofore made by me.

  1. I hereby nominate and appoint, the Superioress of the Sisters of Mercy in charge of St. Michael’s Orphanage (Roman Catholic), Bellevedere, Newfoundland, at the time of my death, and her successor and successors, sole Executrix and Trustee of this my last Will and Testament.

  2. I give, devise and bequeath all my property, both real and personal to my said Executrix and Trustee, in trust to hold the same for the benefit of my (grand daughter), Violet Evans, and to use the same and the income arising therefrom for the support, maintenance and education of the said Violet Evans, until she the said Violet Evans, reaches the age of twenty-one years or until she marries; and when the said Violet Evans reaches the age of twenty one years or when she marries then I direct my said Executrix and Trustee to pay over and deliver to the said Violet Evans all that remains of my estate, both real and personal to be hers absolutely. Should the said Violet Evans die before she reaches the age of twenty-one years, or before she marries, then I give, devise and bequeath all the remainder and residue of my estate, both real and personal, to my said Executrix and Trustee for the uses and purposes of the said St. Michael’s Orphanage, (Roman Catholic) at bellevedere, Newfoundland.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at Halifax, aforesaid this 2nd day of November. A.D. 1916.
