Last will and testament
of Stephen Sellars
of Western Bay Fisherman Deceased.

In the name of God. Amen.

This is the last will and testimony of Stephen Sellars of Western Bay Bay de Verde District Newfoundland I hereby give devise and bequeath to my wife Mary Ann Sellars for her and her own use and benefit absolutely and forever the sum of 110 £ (one hundred and ten pounds) in money, and my house and all my cattle estate and effects both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever, and of what nature and qualities soever with the exception of the piece of land on which my son Samuel's house is built, which I give and bequeath to him and also I give and bequeath to my son Reuben a piece of land attached to my own for a calf's pen. And also I give and bequeath to my sons Isaac J. and Elijah Sellars the piece of land situate on the Ridge under fence bounded by Stephen and Elijah Sellers In the event of my wife changing her name I give and bequeath the whole of my property with the exception of what I have already aforesaid to my sons Daniel and Jonathan Sellars; but in the event of my wife dying without a will all my property money and personal estate are to be equally divided among my unmarried children with the exception of the house which is to fall to my youngest son Jonathan Sellars. And I hereby appoint my said wife Mary Ann Sellars sole Executrix of this my will. In witness whereof I have set my hand this twenty eight day of May one thousand eight hundred and eighty seven Stephen his x mark Sellars. Signed by the said Stephen Sellars in the presence of us present at the same time, who in his presence and in presence of each other attest and subscribe our names as witness hereto Charles White Ochre Pit Cove Rev. S. Matthews Western Bay.
