Richard Rose deceased.
I Richard Rose of George
Town District of Port De Grave (Planter) Being of feeble health but of
sound mind memory and judgement do make and declare this to be my last
will and testament in manner and form following to wit.
(first)
I give and bequeath to my two sons Seymore and Robert
Rose My Dwelling
house and furniture and store and stable and Cellar and the land they
are build on, also two Cabbage gardens one for my Dwelling house and
one for the new house Also my horse waggon Dray Cart sleigh and harness
also my Cod Trap and Boat and all the gear attached to them one Caplin
seine two herring nets my house and stage and all belonging to it at
Comfort Bight. (Labrador)
(Second) I give and bequeath to my
two sons William and Thomas Rose two Cabbage gardens
one for each of them before the land is divided
(third) I give and bequeath
to my four sons an equal share of the remaining cleared land also an
equal share of the uncultivated land also an equal share of all money
remaining after my funeral expenses are paid
(fourth) If Seymore
and Robert leave no child after their death the Property is
to go to my grand children
(fifth) I here by nominate and appoint Robert
Clarke and William Rose Executors of this my
last will and testament - Richard his mark x Rose -
Signed Sealed published and declared and acknowledged by the above testator
to be his last will and testament in our presence and we each at his
request and in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribe
our names as witnesses William
