Last will and Testament of
Jeremiah Rose of Little Bay West
Fortune Bay, Fisherman.

In the name of God Amen. I Jeremiah Rose of Little Bay West, Fortune Bay, Newfoundland Fisherman and Planter, being of sound mind but weak in body and knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die do make this my last will and Testament I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and then I give and bequeath the Schooner and all the fishing gear, boats seines and nets with fish stores to my two sons George and John Joseph equally; on condition that they support and maintain in comfort my other son their brother Levi Thomas and their three sisters Eliza Charity, Elizabeth and Clara as long as they need them - My house and land, I give to my dear wife Maria for her life time and at her death to my said two sons John and George Joseph equally. I give to my dear wife Maria all the cattle and sheep I possess with one hundred pounds, being money now in hand. I leave my said wife Maria, residuary legatee, and appoint the Rev. William K. White of Harbor Breton and W. Jesse Thornton of Little Bay; executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal, at Little Bay aforesaid this eighteenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and eighty four.
