Will of Susan Jane Rolls Last Will and Testament of This is the last will and Testament of me Susan
Jane Rolls of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland Widow. I appoint Mr.
Frank Rendell of St. John's aforesaid sole executor of this my will hereby
revoking all former testamentary writings. I direct that my said executor shall
sell and dispose of my dwelling house situate on Bannerman Street in St. John's
aforesaid as soon after my decease as he shall consider it advisable and to
the best advantage and out of the moneys arising out of the said sale he shall
first pay to my cousin Charles Hamlyn Junior the sum of thirty dollars and
to my niece Elizabeth Rolls of Bonavista in the Island aforesaid daughter of
Joseph Rolls the sum of ten dollars and to my niece Elizabeth
Miles also of
Bonavista aforesaid daughter of James Miles the sum of ten dollars and the
balance of the said moneys I give devise and bequeath to Reverend Arthur
C. F. Wood M.A. as Rector of the Parish of St. Thomas St. John's aforesaid and
to his successors in office to be used for the purpose of forming a fund to
provide nursing for women without children who may need attendance in sickness
belonging to the said Parish of St. Thomas the said fund to be administered
under rules and regulations to be formed by the said Reverend Arthur
C. F. Wood and approved of by the Church wardens of the said Parish
of St. Thomas. I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Susan Jane Rolls deceased Registrar (Listed in the margin next to this will the following)
