Will of Mary Roberts from Newfoundland will books volume 5 pages 210-212 probate year 1888 Last will and Testament of Mary In the name of God Amen. This last will and testament of me Mary Roberts widow of the late John Roberts of Rattley Row Brigus Newfoundland fisherman was made this fourth day of June A.D. 1886.
Whatever else may be in the house at the time of my decease & not already mentioned I bequeath to my granddaughter Elfrida Roberts whom I appoint Residuary legatee I appoint Thomas Meaden & Richard Spracklin of Brigus aforesaid as executors of this my last will and Testament & hereby revoking all other wills & testamentary dispositions by me heretofore made I declare this to be my last will and Testament this fourth day of June A.D. 1886 Mary her x mark Roberts. The above will having been read over in the hearing of the Testator and the two attesting witnesses was then signed by the said Mary Roberts as her last will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence, & in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
