Will of Mary Ridout In re Mary Ridout deceased In the name of God. Amen. I. Mary Ridout relict of the late James Ridout of Long Pond in the Electoral District of Harbor Main, being in perfect health of Body and of perfect mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament. First. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary all that I possess vis My part one third of the dwelling house I am living in, one third of the stable and one third of the store and the land each part is on Also all goods and chattles I may be possessed of at my death. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary my share of my husband's land, one third of the land by the dwelling house and one half of the land in by the Pine Marsh Road. I also give to my daughter Mary all the sheep I may possess at my death- and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke, and disannul all and every other former testaments, Wills and bequests by me in anywise before named, willed and bequeathed. ratifying this and confirming this, and no other, to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 27th day of August, in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred and Twenty. Mary Ridout. Correct William F. Note: The wills in those will books are NOT actual wills. They are hand-written copies of a, "last will and testament," written by the court clerk, after the death of the testator, when the executor presented them to the court for probate. The court clerk didn't list the signatures at the bottom, he (or she) just put them in the book in whatever order they were in, on the original document, no spacing most of the time, no punctuation. The originals were kept by the executor. We who have typed these wills, have made every effort to include all the errors that were on the microfilm, in order to avoid destroying the integrity of the originals, where ever they may be. |
