      Jabez Rideout          deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of me.     Jabez Rideout of Saint John’s in the Island of Newfoundland shop-keeper.
1. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Rideout all my property estate and effects of every description forever and absolutely.
2. I appoint John Rossitor of Saint John’s, Commission Merchant Executor of this my will.    witness my hand at Saint John’s aforesaid this August 10^th/09 day of August Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and nine. Jabez Ridout    Signed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other (all present at the same time) have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
