Last Will and Testament of
Solomon Rees of Channel
School Teacher deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of Solomon Rees of Channel Newfoundland. I Solomon Rees of Channel in the District of Burgeo and LaPoile being of sound mind and memory do hereby make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say
1. I give devise and bequeath to my dear father Solomon Rees and to my mother Belinda Rees the sum of $30.00 (Thirty dollars) each
2. I also give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Jessie Rees her lawful heirs and executors, the amount of money due on my life Insurance Policy by the Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York together with all other monies which are and which may be in her possession at my death.
3. I further give devise and bequeath to my said wife Jessie Rees to be disposed of by her as she may think fit all my personal effects consisting of furniture. Books wearing apparel and all other personal effects property etc not otherwise mentioned herein.
4 I hereby appoint the Rev H. J. Read of Channel and John S. Rowsell Esq. of Bonavista to be executors of this my will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Twenty fourth day of December one thousand nine hundred and one. Signed Solomon Rees. Signed by the said Solomon Rees in the presence of us, present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other, attest and subscribe our names as witnesses hereto. (Sgd) H. H. Mackay (Com. Agent) (sgd) Charles James. Collector of Customs

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Solomon Rees deceased
