In re DAVID RAY. DECEASED.

I David X Ray of the Town of Grand Falls in the colony of Newfoundland,
being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this
as my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills and
testamentary dispositions heretofore at any time by me made.
I hereby appoint the Reverend Thomas Edgar Loder to be the executor
of my will.
(a) I hereby direct my said executor to pay all my just debts, funeral
and testamentary expenses as soon as possible after my decease.
(b) I bequeath to my executor the sum of One hundred dollars for the
administrative work in connection with my estate.
( c) I bequeath to Holy Trinity Church, Grand Falls, the sum of twenty
dollars.
(d) I bequeath to my executor the sum of sixty dollars for the purchase
of a tombstone to be erected to my grave.
(e) I bequeath to Freeman Penney of Grand Falls all my shares in the
Little River Mining Company Stock and in that of the United Towns Electric
Company.
(f) I bequeath to Myrtle Penney of Grand Falls my Organ and my entire
share in the Grand Falls Cooperative Society Limited.
(g) I hereby empower my executor to appraise all my household effects
in my home at 21 Circular Road at time of my decease, either personally
or with the assistance of a competent man to be appointed by him who
shall be paid a reasonable sum for his services as my executor shall
decide. If sufficient cash is not available on hand in the Bank of Montreal
or in my loan in the Grand Falls Co-operative Society to meet the expenses
and bequests referred to in paragraph a.b.c. and d; also such as may
be contained in this paragraph marked g in connection with the appraisement
and sale of any of my property, then sufficient of my household effects
shall be sold by order of my executor to meet them, after which all effects
remaining shall be distributed as equitably as possible between Freeman
Penney, and Sarah Penney of Grand Falls and Mrs
Violet Hunt of Bell Island.
h. If, after all expenses and bequests as contained in this will are
met, any cash is due to my estate, on hand, in the Bank of Montreal or
in my loan to the Grand Falls Co-operative Society, my executor shall
distribute same equally between the aforementioned Freeman Penney,
Sarah Penney and Violet Hunt.
