Will of John Quinton
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 page 313 probate year 1915

In re
      JOHN QUINTON       deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of John Quinton son of Charles Quinton & Martha Quinton of Muddy Cove now re-named Charleston Southern Bay District of Bonavista Bay Newfoundland. Farmer:    I John Quinton aforesaid do will and bequeath this house & garden in which the said house stands being part of my property of which I hold the grant- to my sister Sarah now married to John Fry of Charleston during her life time- and after her death the house and garden aforesaid to my grand nephew Charles John Eldon Quinton son of Eleazar & Florence Elizabeth Quinton.    I bequeath the remainder of my property bequeath to me by my father Charles Quinton aforesaid and of which I hold the grant apart from the house and garden to Eleazar Quinton son of Sarah Quinton, my sister.    I devise & bequeath the land to the west of that land now bequeath to Eleazar Quinton aforesaid to the son of Eleazar & Florence Elizabeth Quinton the aforesaid Charles John Elder and of which I hold the grant in my own name.
I bequeath all the money lying to my account in the Bank of Nova Scotia at the time of my death in three equal parts, one part to my sister Sarah now married to John Fry, a second part to Eleazar Quinton my sister’s son and a third part to Charles John Eldon.     In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my mark this fifth day of May nineteen hundred & thirteen.     John his X mark Quinton Signed sealed published & declared by said John Quinton as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence & the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses to the due execution hereof.    Witnesses John Prince.     Edwin Nichols    I appoint John Prince and the Reverend Edwin Nichols executors to this my will.    John his X mark Quinton
