Last will and Testament
of Michael Quigley
of St. John's Fisherman Deceased
.

In the name of God Amen. I Michael Quigley of Saint John's Fisherman do make publish and declare this paper writing as my last will and Testament. First I give and bequeath to James Quigley the downstairs tenement of the house I now live in and occupied by him I also bequeath unto him one hundred pounds and no more I also bequeath to his wife Mary five pounds. Second. I give and bequeath to Ellen Mary Duff the small house to the westward of the one I now live in I also bequeath unto her one hundred pounds Third I give and bequeath unto Margaret Quigley the upstairs tenements at present occupied by me and the furniture goods and chattels of every deception therein and in her custody I also bequeath unto her the said Margaret Quigley one hundred pounds. I give and bequeath unto Michael Quigley one hundred pounds I give and bequeath unto William Quigley one hundred pounds, if he returns to Newfoundland if he does not return then Margaret Quigley is to have the same but in case of her death then the said hundred pounds is to be equally divided amongst the survivor of my children. I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Quigley for masses for the of my late wife Ellen Quigley and for myself eighty pounds. The residue of my estate goods and chattels money and so on I leave to my daughter Margaret Quigley. I appoint my daughter Margaret as executrix to this my last will and testament and also John Bogan as executor. Michael his x mark Quigley Signed published and declared as the last will and testament of me the said Michael Quigley at Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland this fourth day of October A.D. 1887. In the presence of us and in the presence of each other having been first read over and explained. R. J. Parsons Patrick Hayes.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and testament of Michael Quigley.
