Will of Mary Putt, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 87 probate year 1930

IN RE.                    DECEASED

MARY PUTT.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me, MARY PUTT of St John's in the island of Newfoundland, Widow.
I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made and declare this to be my last will and testament.
I appoint William O'Dea of St John's, Farmer, the executor of this my said last will and testament.
I direct that my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses first be paid out of my estate.
I give devise and bequeath my property known as "Milligans Farm" to my adopted son Edward Preston to be his absolutely. I also give him all my farming utensils, my horse and cart and all my household Furniture and effects except the couch in my sitting room, which couch I give and bequeath to Mrs O'Dea the wife of my executor. I give and bequeath the sum of Five hundred dollars to the said Edward Preston. I bequeath the sum of Two hundred dollars to Harold Preston. I direct that one hundred dollars shall be expended upon masses for the repose of the souls of my late husband Philip Putt and myself. All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate I give devise and bequeath to my said adopted son Edward Preston; save that one-half of my shares in the St George's Coal Fields Ltd are to go to Mary Putt the daughter of Maurice Putt.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St John's aforesaid this 4th day of July A.D. 1929.

SIGNED PUBLISHED AND DECLARED by the said testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who at her request and in her presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses attesting the due execution hereof (The same having first been read over and explained to the Testatrix who appeared perfectly to understand the same and who signed the same by making her mark thereto).
