Will of Fanny Pitts Pratt
from Newfoundland will books volume 13 pages 536-537 probate year 1927

In re
      FANNY P. PRATT.     DECEASED.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me Fanny Pratt of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow,
FIRST I hereby revoke all Wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made.
SECOND I give devise and bequeath my messuage and premises on the East side of Leslie Street in St. John’s aforesaid unto my daughters Florence and Nellie until the death or marriage of either of them and then to the other of them until her death or marriage
THIRD upon the death or marriage of both of my said daughters Florence and Nellie I direct that the said messuage and premises be sold and the net proceeds of such sale I give and bequeath to all my said children in the following proportions that is to say to my son Arthur one quarter the balance to be divided between my remaining children in equal shares
FOURTH I give and bequeath my piano at present in my said house to my said daughter Florence
FIFTH I give and bequeath all the remainder of my household furniture and effects to my said daughters Florence and Nellie share and share alike
SIXTH I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate to all my children in equal shares
SEVENTH Should any of my said children die in my lifetime leaving issue at my death such issue shall stand in the place of such deceased child and take per stirpes and equally between them if more than one the share or funds mentioned in paragraph Three and Seven of this my Will which such deceased child would have taken if he or she had survived me but if any of my said children shall die in my lifetime without leaving issue the share of such child or children shall be divided among those who survive me.
EIGHTH I appoint my son Calvert, Executor of this my Will.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF: I have hereunto set my hand at St. John’s aforesaid, this first day of December Anno Domini, One thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.

SIGNED by the said Testatrix in the presence of us both being present at the same time, who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
