Will of Richard Power from Newfoundland will books volume 5 pages 179-180 probate year 1888

Last will and Testament of
Richard Power of Quidi Vidi Planter.

In the name of God Amen. I Richard Power of Quidi Vidi in the Island of Newfoundland planter do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following first I desire to be decently buried and with as little expense as possible I give and bequeath to my wife Mary Power during her lifetime my farm situate on the north side of the road leading to Quidi Vidi aforesaid for her use and benefit and after her death I desire and request that the same shall be divide to my nieces as follows to my niece Catherine Wilson two shares to Catherine Squires one share to Bridget Quinn one share and one shares to Ann Lacey
Also I give and bequeath to my said wife for her sole use and benefit all my household goods and furniture and also I give and bequeath to my said wife Mary Power my fishing room land messuage and premises with the appurtenances thereto belonging situate and being at Quidi Vidi in the Island aforesaid To have and To hold the said fishing room land messuage and premises with the appurtenances to my wife Mary Power her heirs and assigns for ever together with all the money I may die possessed of All the rest of my goods and estate whatsoever and of what nature and kind soever the same may be and not hereinbefore given and disposed of (after payment of my just debts and funeral expenses) I do give and bequeath to my said wife her executors and assigns forever And I do hereby constitute and appoint George Scott executor to this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal at Quidi Vidi aforesaid this 29th day of December A.D. 1887. Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence us by the said Testator as his last will and testament who at his request and the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witness thereto.
