Will of Sarah Pittman from Newfoundland will books volume 5 pages 194-195 probate year 1888 Last will and Testament of Sarah In the name of God Amen. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Charles Pittman only during his life my share of the room at New Perlican at present owned & occupied by myself & my son Albert Pittman and the heirs of my sons James Pittman & Colbert Pittman and after the decease of my son Charles Pittman to be equally divided among the others at present occupying the room with me. Item. I give and bequeath to my daughter Amelia Lockyer a set of china ware. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Albert Pittman a feather bed pillow and bedding. Item. I give and bequeath to my daughter Amy Pitts a white quilt, a table, eight silver spoons and a silver sugar tongs. Item. I give and bequeath to Sarah daughter of Albert Pittman a feather bed bedding etc. Item I give and bequeath to my son George Pittman the piece of ground on which his house is erected at New Perlican and my eight day clock. Item. I give and bequeath to Albert Augustus son of Albert Pittman a spy glass. Item I do hereby appoint Mr. Wm. Sorausborough to be the sole executor of this my last will and testament requiring him first to discharge all my just debts and funeral expenses revoking all others & declaring this to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at New Perlican this thirtieth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two.
