Last Will and Testament of
Sir Robert J. Pinsent of St. John's
Judge of the Supreme Court deceased.

      The last will and Testament of me Sir Robert John Pinsent of St. John's Newfoundland Knight a Judge of the Supreme Court. I revoke all former wills. I appoint my son Charles A. M. Pinsent Executor of this my will and in the event of his death whether before or after me I appoint my wife Emily H. S. Pinsent Executrix thereof. Whereas there is a Policy in the Life Association of Scotland upon the joint lives of myself and my said wife payable to the survivor and to which she will be entitled in her own right in case of my death, and two other Policies upon my own life in the Canada Life Assurance Company payable to her and which will be hers of right upon my decease -
Now I leave my other policies of Life Assurance charged with a payment of two hundred and fifty pounds sterling in addition to any properties now standing in my name in trust for her in full discharge of any claims of my eldest daughter Maude (in religion Mechtildes) Lady Abbess O.S.B. -

I leave the residue of my Estate after payment of my just debts and funeral expenses to my said wife Emily H. L. Pinsent and in the event of her death before me, to or amongst such child or children of hers as may survive her and me, and who shall arrive at the age of twenty one years, with power nevertheless to my Executor during the infancy of any of such children as may survive us to apply any part of my Estate or of the yearly proceeds thereof to their nurture and education -
Provided that the foregoing bequests of this my will are subject to the condition that my said son Charles shall have my Encyclopedia Britannica, my Patents as a Knight and as a Doctor of the Civil Law. My Dressing Case and proper Signet ring, my Dress clothes and one other suit of clothes and an overcoat such as he may choose from my wardrobe and my mother's portrait.
My son Arthur shall have my ??tooth Walking Stick and my Watch.
My son Robert shall have my Homfrays signet ring.
My son Frank shall have any other articles of jewelry I may possess and my fishing rods and tackle.
My son Guy shall have my Court Suits and silk gowns and my other patents of office not above specified. All my wearing apparel except as aforesaid shall be divided between Robert and Frank, and for Mabel and Trixie a suitable mourning ring each shall be provided out of my estate.
