Will of John E. Pike Last Will and Testament of Know all men by those Presents That I John E. Pike of Carbonear in the Island of Newfoundland do hereby make this my last Will and Testament. I hereby give and bequeath to my Daughter Sophia Julia Pike, and to my son John Sweetland Pike my Dwelling House, Kitchen Garden and land appertaining to same together with all my Household Furniture and in the event of my son John Sweetland Pike not returning to Carbonear my Daughter Sophia Julia Pike is to have full possession of same. I hereby give and bequeath to my sons Urban Francis Pike and Wesley Pike the Dwelling House they now occupy, and all land attached to same, it is my further wish that after the Death of my Son Wesley Pike that portion of the Dwelling House he now occupies be left to my Grandson Ephraim John Pike that is providing my Son Wesley Pike dies without issue. I hereby bequeath to my son Urban Francis Pike the Sail Loft opposite the late James Forwards together with the Meadow Land now in his possession also all my property situated at Bolsters Rock on the Coast of Labrador. I hereby give and bequeath to my Daughter Sophia Julia Pike a piece of land situated in the Valley Road, also what money may be left belonging to me and my wife Julia Ann Pike after our decease. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal at Carbonear Newfoundland this Twenty Seventh day April One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Six. (sgd) John E.
