Last Will and Testament of
William Pearcey of New Perlican
N.D. Fisherman deceased.
Know all men by these presents that I William
Pearcey of New Perlican Trinity Bay in the Island of Newfoundland, Fisherman,
being in ill health, but of sound & disposing mind and memory do make and
publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by
me at any time heretofore made. And as to my worldly estate, and all the property,
real, personal or mixed of which I shall die seized or possessed or to which
I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise bequeath and dispose
thereof in the manner following to wit:
First. My will is that all
my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor hereinafter named be
paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by him be found convenient.
Item. I give and bequeath to my deceased son Joseph's children all that parcel
of land situated on the west side of Beaver Pond Road bounded on the north
by William Steffords land & on the south by the Church of England Cemetery & James
Miller's land to have and to hold the same together with all the profits and
income thereof to their the said William and Mary Janet Pearcey their
heirs executors and assigns to them and their use and benefit for ever.
All
the rest and residue of my estate, real personal and mixed of which I shall
die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at my decease I give
devise and bequeath to my son Enock. After his Enock's decease if he leave
no heir or heirs the land and all thereon and appertaining thereto shall become
the property of William and Janet children of my son Joseph.
And lastly I do nominate and appoint my nephew Joseph Pearcey to be the executor
of this my last will and Testament. In testimony whereof I the said William
Pearcey have to this my last will and Testament subscribed my name and affixed
my seal this Twenty third day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and ninety five (sgd) William Pearcey (LS) Signed Sealed and
declared by the said William Pearcey as and for his last will and Testament
in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence and in presence
of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. (Sgd) Reuben

I certify the foregoing to be a correct
copy of the last will and Testament of William Pearcey deceased
