Keels, Bonavista Bay
In the name of God Amen ---
October 11th 1804 I William Turner of Keels, Newfoundland Being very
weak in Body and of perfect mind and memory thank God and calling
unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed
for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and
Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend

my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and my ???
body I recommend to the earth to be Buried in decent Christian Burial
at the Discretion of my Executors, nothing doubting. But at the general
resurrection I shall receive the same again By the mighty power of
God and as ???ing such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased
God to bless me in this life I give and ??? and dispose of the same
in the following manner and form First of all I give to Jane Turner
my beloved Wife all the money I have in England after the sum of
Money left to my Children is paid and to keep her little? Boy And if
she die before the family to dispose of it in the family as she think
fit in Turner? family Also I give to John Turner my Beloved Son the
Sum of one hundred and fifty pounds and part of the Store Also to
Abraham Turner my Beloved Son the sum of one hundred and fifty
pounds and part of the Store (This sentence is repeated in its entirety
and a line drawn completely through it from beginning to end) Also
to Elizabeth Phelon, my Beloved Daughter One hundred and fifty
pounds of good and lawful Money and a part of the Store beginning
Also to Rob??? Turner the Daughter of Wm Turner Jun'r the sum of
one hundred pounds when of age and if in case of death to fall to
the family ratifing and Confirming this and know other to be my last
Will and testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and Seal this Day and year above written in William Turner. Signed sealed
published pronounced and declared by the said William Turner as his
last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers Henry
Powell - Edward X Tizzared? his mark
Appeared personally William Fryer of Winborn? in the County
of Dorset ???ant and ??? ??? that on or about the thirteenth? day
of December last he received a parcel from James Blankie? of Saint
Johns in the Island of Newfoundland containing among other papers
the last Will and Testament of William Turner of Keels in Bonavista
Bay in the Island of Newfoundland aforesaid deceased now ???
??? that the Deponent upon opening the said parcel and perusing
the said Will observed the Words "fifty" struck through in the twenty
fourth? and Twenty seventh? lines of the first side and also in the second
line? of the second side of the said Will And the Deponent saith that
the said Will is now in all respects in the same plight? and Condition
as when written? by the Deponent as aforesaid - William Fryer
the 16th day of May 1820 The said William Fryer was duly sworn to
the truth of this Affidavit by Virtue of the Commission hereto annexed

On the 25th May 1820 Admn (with the Will annexed) of the Goods
Chattels & Estate of William Turner late of Keels in Bonavista Bay
in the Island of Newfoundland deceased was granted to William Fryer
the Constituted? Attorney of Johanna Turner Widow the Relict of the said
Deceased being first a???by Common? duty? to administer for the use and
benefit of the said Johanna Turner now residing at Bonavista Bay in
the Island of Newfoundland
This writing was included with the William Turner will but is not a part of it - this one seems to be for a Richard Townsend but is not the full will. I've left it here because it's a part of the original document listed above and in case a researcher might recognize it and be able to give us more information about it.
Execution of the trusts of this my Will for the care and trouble which
he may have in the execution of the said Trusts and I do hereby
constitute and appoint my said son John and the said Jonathan
Bolc??r joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament provided
and I do hereby ordain that it shall and may be lawful to and for them
my said Trustees and their respective sons Executors and administrators
from time to time by and out of any monies which shall come to their
respective hands by virtue of the trusts aforesaid to ???nt and retain to
and reimburse themselves respectively all such reasonable costs charges
??? and Expenses as they respectively shall or may sustain expend
or be put unto in or about the Execution of the trusts aforesaid and
that they, my said trustees respectively or their respective Sx'rs? Ex?w
or administrators shall not be tha??? or chargeable with or for any
sum or sums of money or Efforts other than such as shall actually come
to their respective hands by virtue of this my Will ??? ??? for the other
of them or for the Acts ??? payments defaults or miscarriages of the
other of them but ??? of them for his own act receipt payment and willful
default only nor? with or for any loss or damage which shall or may ???
happen in or about the execution of all or any of the trusts aforesaid
without their respective willful default or neglect provided also, and I
do hereby ordain that the receipt or receipts of them my said Son John
Tow??? and the said Jonathan Bolober? or the Survivor of them or
his S???sunder their or his hands or hand for all or any part of the
purchase Money as well for the said S???taments and premises? situate
in Harington aforesaid or any part thereof as for the said ?????
S???taments and premises? situate in Little? Coxwell or any part thereof
in ??? the same? last ??? prov??? shall? ??? Saleable? in
pursuant? of this my will shall be good and effectual? ????? to the
purchasor or purchasors of the said premises respectively or any part
thereof for so much of the said purchase money as shall be th????
????? to be received? and that after such receipt or receipts shall be
given and signed such purchasor? and purchasors? ?????????????????
Executors and Administrators shall not be afterwards answerable or
accountable for any loss misapplication or ???application of the said
purchase money or any part thereof. In witness whereof I the said Richard
Townsend (L.S.) to the four first sheets of this my last will and testament
Contained? in five? sheets of paper set my hand and to the last sheet set
my hand and seal this twenty-seventh day of September in the year of
our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and ninety four. Richard

of Jonathan Bolreur? one of the Executors to ???? A???on was or
granted having been first sworn (by Commission? duly? to administer power
