THIS IS THE LAST WILL and Testament of me William Newman of Dartmouth in the County of Devon, merchant, who being in good health of body and in sound and perfect mind do make and publish ...? this 15th day of April in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-two ..? following that is to say/ first I will and direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and...?/Also I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Newman the sum of eight thousand pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to him within six calendar months after my death and above what I have advanced to or for him and to his wife of his marriage and has ??ample provision for my daughter on her marriage to Mr. Cabell Roope by a settlement was paid previous to their marriage...?. Also I direct that payment of the said sum of Eight Thousand Pounds to my son Richard shall be paid unto my son William his heirs executors administrators or ...?a good and sufficient .............? Also all my plantations, fishing rooms, ..? buildings and ..? in St. Johns, Torbay, Petty Harbour , ..? Cove, and..? on the Island of Newfoundland, and all the rest of my money, security for my money............?

my estate real and personal I give and bequeath to my said son William heirs executors and assigns and I do constitute and appoint my said son William to be Executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills and ...?
