Will of Theodore J. Parsons In re This is the last will and Testament of me Theodore J. Parsons of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland Photographer. I desire that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be first paid out of my estate. I give and bequeath unto the Trustees of Gower Street Methodist Church the sum of two hundred dollars to be distributed in such a manner as to them may seem best amongst the poor people of that church I give and bequeath unto my dear sister Elfrida H. Parsons the sum of six hundred dollars. I give devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Emma Parsons all my right title and interest in and that brick building on Water Street numbered 258 (at present occupied by Joseph Ropers) for and during the term of her natural life, and after her death to my brother-in-law Joseph Roper for the then remainder of the term in the lease from Bulleys Estate to me subject to the payment of the rent and the performance of the covenants in said lease. I give devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Emma Parsons all the rest residue and remainder of my estate absolutely I appoint my said wife Emma Parsons the Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 4th day of January Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and nine. Theodore J Parsons Signed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence, at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
