Last Will and Testament of
James Parsons of Lushes Bight, deceased
.

      In the name of God Amen
I James Parsons of Lushes Bight, formerly of Twillingate Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland, being in the full enjoyment of my mental capabilities do hereby make this my last will and Testament. I bequeath to my three sons Samuel, Enoch and Andrew all my Room, property and vessel (the Minnie) to be equally divided between them. I bequeath to the same three sons. Viz: Samuel, Enoch and Andrew all the money in the house at my death and also all money in the books of Waterman & Co in my favor to be equally divided between them. But should my son Enoch Parsons marry Emma Slade he shall forfeit thereby all participation in the aforesaid Room, property, vessel and money. The other two above participating. Nevertheless if my two sons Samuel and Andrew think fit they may give to Enoch the property the other side of the Main Road leading to Graveyard and adjoining the premises of James Caravan. They may also if they think fit assist him in the erection of a house on the aforesaid property. I appoint my son Samuel Parsons and the Methodist Minister in the Little Bay Island Circuit my sole executors In witness whereof I append my signature this 4th day of March 1883. (Sgd) James Parsons.
