Will of Emma Lay Parmiter
from Newfoundland will books volume 8 pages 597-598 probate year 1909

In re
      Emma Lay Parmiter          deceased.

      This is the last will & Testament of Emma Lay Parmiter I being in good health & in my right mind do hereby bequeath my property as follows: -

  • To my daughter Mrs. Joseph King her fathers picture.
  • To Daisy my youngest daughter the large bed bolster with one pillow and also the organ.
  • To my daughter Emily one small feather bed with mattress.
  • For Bessie two feather pillows,
  • to Minnie two ornaments,

The House, land & furniture not mentioned in the preceding is to be sold and the money is to be divided equally amongst the members of the family. The members of my family are William Geo Lay.     Mrs. Fred Hiscock (Minnie). Mrs. Joseph King (Ida)     Mrs. Edward Carberry (Bessie) Emily Lay.     Daisy Lay.    I appoint my sister Mrs William English as Executrix with my daughter Mrs. E. G. Carberry     Signed    Mrs. Emma (Lay) Parmiter     witnesses Fred. R Matthews Andrew Luscombe     Archibald his x mark Pike    2. Belvidere Street St. John’s May 4th 1909
