July 13, 1915: "I, James Roberts of the Town of Hare Bay in the District of Bonavista, being of right mind, memory and understanding, do make my last will concerning the land in my possession, in the manner and form following: I give, devise and bequeath to my two children, Alpheaus Roberts and Daniel Roberts, the contents of the land. Their equal share have been willed by be, giving them a thorough understanding. In Witness whereof I, James Roberts the testator, have to this my last will and testament set my hand, this thirteenth day of July, 1915. Signed, published and declared by the above named James Roberts as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at his request, as witnesses thereto in presence of the said testator and of each other.
