Burgeo, Newfound, April 24, 1882.

In the name of God Amen,

I, Francis A. Parsons, now living in Burgeo Newfld in perfect health and memory thank God do make and ordain this my last will in testament in manner and form following that is to say.

First I commend my soul into the hands of God my Creator hoping to be made partaker of everlasting life. -

1st item. I give and bequeath to my two sons, viz Stephen & Andrew Parsons now living in Burgeo all and every part of said Premises. Viz From the road leading through Ferbys Harbour including stores wharf and water Side Priveleges to them and their Heirs forever -

Item 2. I give and bequeath to my son Stephen Parsons, now residing in Burgeo half of my dwelling house now occupied by me but not to sell it without consent of his sister Ellen -

Item 3. I give and bequeath to my daughter Ellen Parsons the other half of the said Dwelling House that is the Eastern End to have and to hold during her natural life but she is not to sell without consent of Stephen unless actual need -

Item 4. I give and bequeath to my two sons Andrew and Stephen Parsons all the Land Now in my possession surrounding the said dwelling house before mentionned to them & their heirs forever.-

Item 5. I give and bequeath to my wife all the monies that I have or may have after my decease for her own use and benefit during her life.

Item 6. I give and bequeath to my son Augustus Parsons, now living in Windsor Nova Scotia the value of one third of the furniture in my dwelling house together with all my wearing apparel.

Item 7. and further that my daugher Ellen Parsons will receive from and out of the said property bequeathed to Stephen and Andrew Parsons the sum of three pounds currency per year during her life to be paid to her by the said Stephen and Andrew Parsons aforesaid named. The amount of money in Union Bank I give to each and all of my children in equal share.

Given from under my hand this 13th day of April 1882
