Samson Mifflin and Brown Agreement

 

Know all men by these presents that I George Brown of Bonavista in the Island of Newfoundland for and in consideration of the sum of three thousand pounds sterling to me in hand paid by Samson Mifflin of Bonavista aforesaid receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge I have assigned, transferred and make over unto the said Samson Mifflin his executors assigns All my adventure part & share in the stock and trade of the company of Mifflin & Brown as also other former firm of  George Brown to all and every part there of and all benefits proceeds and profits thereof which now or at any time here after shall be come due or payable to the same and all my estate right to the interest claim and demand what so ever of in or to the same or any part thereof unto the said Samson Mifflin his executors administrators & assigns to his and their own proper use forever and I the said George Brown for my self my executors administrators and assigns do consent and grant to and will the said Samson Mifflin his executors administrators & assigns That the said Samson Mifflin his executors administrators and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times hereafter lawfully peaceably and quietly hold the said adventure stock and trade of the said company of Mifflin and Brown as also of the former firm of George Brown to all and ever part thereof without any ?? molestation or interuption of by the said George Brown my executors administrators or assigns or any other person or persons what soever lawfully claiming from by or under us or by way or either of our acts means or procurement.
In witness where fore I have write my hand & seal this fourth day of July eighteen hundred and fourteen.

Transcriber's Note

This George Brown has no known family connection to William Brown Esq. family of Bonavista.
This George Brown married Elizabeth Shearing in Bonavista on April 17 1814 and shortly after this agreement was made he retired to Poole Dorset England and he died in Poole in 1820 at age 48 years KB
