To the Honorable the Chief
Justice of Newfoundland

The Petition of Mary Hennebury of St. John's widow

respectfully showeth

That William Hennebury late of St. John's farmer departed this life on or about the 9th day of August instant leaving him surviving his widow (Your Petitioner) and seven children respectively named William, Thomas, Mary, Elizabeth, Ian?, Harriet and Margaret.
That at the time of his decease he was possessed of property consisting of a farm and farming stock in St. John's of the probable value of two hundred and fifty pounds
That the late William Hennebury died intestate.
Your petitioner therefore humbly prays that letters of administration may be granted to her of her late husbands Estate and as in duty bound she will ever pray.
