Will of Mark Osmond
from Newfoundland will books volume 9 pages 237-239 probate year 1911

In re
      Mark Osmond          deceased.

      This is the Last will and Testament of me Mark Osmond of Moreton’s Harbor, Newfoundland, Retired Merchant, Justice of the Peace for the Northern District, made this thirteenth day of May, Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and five. I devise and bequeath as follows:- Unto my sons, Dave Pearce Osmond, Louis Osmond Andrew Joseph Osmond, and Frederick Nurse Osmond in equal shares, my land by Moretons Harbor Pond and Chance Harbor Road, with all cattle and farm implements;
Unto my said son Frederick Nurse Osmond my Dwelling house and personal property connected therewith, subject as hereinafter provided
Unto my wife Elizabeth Harriet Osmond, my third of the Business Room as long as she lives:
Unto my said son, Frederick Nurse Osmond my third of the Trade Provided my said wife be supported out of it. (she to dwell in the Dwelling-house aforesaid as long as she lives to be a home) Also for my Daughter, Hannah Osmond as long as she chooses to remain in it:
Unto my said sons Frederick Nurse Osmond, and Andrew Joseph Osmond, in common, my third of the Business Room aforesaid after my said wife’s death.
And I further devise and bequeath as follows: - unto my said wife the sum of Fifty Dollars a year to be paid her yearly as long as she lives out of the interest of money invested by me in the Bank of Nova Scotia, Saint John’s Branch: unto my said Daughter, Hannah Osmond, upon the death of my said wife, the sum of Four Hundred Dollars, to be then paid first out of the aforesaid invested money: the balance in said Bank to be at the same time divided equally between my remaining children and grandchild, namely, Joseph Bain Osmond Anne Sophia Jennings (widow of Rev. Samuel Jennings), Rebecca Watson (wife of William W. Watson, Saint John’s), Jessie Symonds (wife of Rev. John Symond’s), George Mayne (son of my late Daughter Caroline Mayne), Dawe Pearce Osmond, Louis Osmond Andrew Joseph Osmond and Frederick Nurse Osmond
And I appoint Charles D Mayne and Andrew Pearce both of the Town and District of Twillingate, to be the Executors of this my will, hereby revoking all former Testamentary writings. In witness whereof I have signed my name at the foot or end of this my will as and for my last will and Testament the day and year first hereinbefore written in the presence of the two subscribing witnesses, Mark Osmond we the undersigned have attested the execution of the foregoing writing by the said Mark Osmond, he signing his name thereto in the presence of us present at the same time and without quitting his right or presence we subscribe the same in the presence of each other
