The Last will and Testament of
Very Revd. Richard O'Donnell
of St. Marys Parish Priest Deceased
.

In the name of God Amen I Richard O'Donnell of Saint Marys in the Island of Newfoundland Roman Catholic Priest do make publish and declare the following as and for my last will and testament.
First I will and direct that all my just debts and testamentary expenses shall be paid by my executor hereinafter named.
Second. I will and bequeath the sum of four hundred dollars for masses for the repose of my soul.
Third I will and bequeath the sum of $400.00 to my sister Str. Mary Bernard O'Donnell Convent ???
Fourth I will and bequeath the sum of two hundred dollars to my sister Str. Mary Joseph O'Donnell Convent Renews.
Fifth. I will and bequeath the sum of two hundred dollars to my sister Margaret wife of Michael Leamy Black Head.
Sixth. I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred twenty dollars each to my nieces Sister Mary John Leamy and Sister Mary Philomena Leamy of Convents of Witless Bay and Conception Harbor.
Seventh. I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars to my brother the Reverend Patrick O'Donnell Conception Harbor.
Eighth. I will and bequeath to my nephew Thomas Molen Brooklyn New York the sum of four hundred dollars for the education of his children.
Ninth. I will and bequeath the sum of four hundred dollars for the education of the poor children of parish of Saint Mary's.
Tenth I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars towards the support of the orphans at Belvedere St. John's
Eleventh. I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars to the Convent of Mercy Military Road Saint John's.
Twelfth I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars each to the Roman Catholic Churches of Saint Mary's and Burin.
Thirteenth. I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars to the Christian Brothers St. John's for education purposes.
Fourteenth I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars to the Presentation Convent Saint Mary's
Fifteenth. I will and bequeath the sum of forty dollars to Sister Mary Joseph O'Donnell Convent Renews.
Sixteenth I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars for the education of the children of my nephew Thomas O'Donnell Conception Harbor <br>Seventeenth. I will and bequeath the sum of one hundred dollars each to my nieces Alice O'Donnell Conception Harbor Bridget wife of Patrick Harman, Harbor Main and Bridget wife of William O'Driscoll of Mobile parish of Witless Bay.
Eighteenth. I will and bequeath the sum of two hundred and forty dollars for the education of the children of my brother Michael O'Donnell of Gleninph parish of Cavan Co Tipperary Ireland.
Nineteenth I will and bequeath the sum of fifty dollars to my niece Ellen daughter of my late brother Thomas O'Donnell at present in a convent in France.
Twentieth I will and bequeath the sum of twenty dollars each to Rev. Stephen O'Driscoll and my nephew Rev. Thomas O'Donnell residing in United States of America.
Twenty first I will and bequeath to my housekeeper Mrs. Alice Power of Saint Mary's the sum of one hundred & Twenty dollars.
Twenty second. All the rest, residue and remainder of my moneys, chattels, and effects, I bequeath to my executor in trust to be disposed of by him as he may consider best.
Twenty third I do hereby revoke and declare null and void all former and other wills by me made, and do hereby nominate and appoint my friend James D. Ryan of Saint John's Grocer, executor of this my last will and testament <br>Dated at Saint John's Newfoundland this 18th day of June A.D. 1888 Richd O'Donnell witnesses Richd Clancy. James J.
