DECEASED ALFRED NORTHFIELD This is my last will and testament made in St John's Newfoundland this twenty fifth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight. I give devise and bequeath all my mortgage tenements I hold by respective leases consisting at present of the house No 12 Bell Street and the three double tenement house Nos 4.6 and 8 Knight Street St John's and all my household furnitures, goods and chattels, money secured by my Life Insurance and all other parts of my personal estate and effects whatsoever unto my wife Louise Ann Northfield and to my daughter Edith Caroline Northfield, to and for their own absolute use and benefit, according to the nature and quality thereof respectively, subject only to the payment of my just debts and expenses and the charges of proving and registering this my will.
