Will of James Normore from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 91-92 probate year 1927

In re
      JAMES NORMORE.       DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen

I James Normore of Bell Island in Conception Bay Newfoundland being perfectly sound in mind memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament
1st I give devise and bequeath to my eldest son James Normore all my land situated North and West of his (James') house together with a strip of land South of his dwelling house measuring 24 (twenty four) feet South from South East corner of dwelling house thence at right angles on a line running Westward close by back of my Store to Edward Bowdrings land which is my West boundary).
2nd I give devise and bequeath to my son William all that piece and parcel of land South of aforementioned line running Westward together with my dwelling house and all the property situate thereon.
3rd I give devise and bequeath to my wife Anne Normore all that piece and parcel of land known locally as "The Plantation" and bounded as follows:- On the East by James Bowdring, South by Michael Dwyer West and North by the Public Road.
4th I give devise and bequeath to my wife Anne Normore all that piece and parcel of land situate on the "Lookout" and containing between two and three acres and bounded as follows On the South by Pippy's land, West by Robert Normore, North and East by Public Road.
5th I give devise and bequeath to my three sons, James, Solomon and William, all that piece and parcel of land situate at "The Beach" to be equally divided between them; but the rent accruing from this land I desire to be given to my wife Anne Normore until her death, when it shall then belong to my sons as aforesaid.
6th I give devise and bequeath to my son James Normore all that piece and parcel of land known as "Lookout Marsh" situate at east End of Bell Island containing between one and two acres and bounded as follows on South by Bowdring North Fitzgerald East Public Road and running to a corner on the West.
7th I give devise and bequeath to my son Solomon Normore all that piece and parcel of land situate at East End and known as "East End Meadow" and containing about Six acres more or less.
8th I give devise and bequeath to my son Solomon Normore all that piece and parcel of land situate near Mr. Matthew Kelly's Estate and known as "Bread Head Meadow" and bounded on the East and North by Matthew Kelly, South by Cliff, West by Wm Normores.
9th I give devise and bequeath to my Grandson Fulton Normore all that piece and parcel of land known as "Old Cellar Meadow" situate near Jackman's Estate and bounded as follows On the North by Public Road, West by Jackman's, South by Cliff, West by Robert Normore.
10th I hereby appoint the Revd J Stead, Clerk in Holy Orders, at present Incumbent of Bell Island, as Executor of this my last Will and Testament

Signed sealed and declared by the said Testator in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses this ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, the same having been first read over and explained.
