In re
      ALICE NOONAN       deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me, Alice Noonan of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Spinster, made this twentieth day of September, A.D. 1915    I hereby revoke all former Wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made    I hereby appoint the Rev Joseph Pippy of Riverhead, St. John’s to be the executor of this my will    I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid as soon after my decease as may be convenient    I give devise and bequeath to Julia Murphy, daughter of Capt Edward Murphy of 169 Pleasant Street the sum of one hundred dollars and to John Murphy, the son of the late James Murphy of 171 Pleasant Street the sum of twenty five dollars to Mrs. John Doyle of Boston in the United States of America, my niece, the sum of twenty five dollars and to my niece Mrs. Mary O’Connell of Bedford Mass. in the United States of America the sum of twenty five dollars    I give devise and bequeath to Monsignor McCarthy of Carbonear or to whatever priest is in charge of the Catholic Church in Carbonear at the time of my death the sum of twenty five dollars for Masses for the repose of my soul, and to Rev. Joseph Pippy the sum of twenty-five dollars for Masses for the repose of my soul.    I direct that I shall be buried in the Catholic Cemetery at Carbonear.     I give devise and bequeath the rest residue and remainder of my property to be divided equally between Belvidere Orphanage and Mount Cashel Orphanage.    In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand by affixing my mark the day and year first above written.    Alice her X mark Noonan     Signed published and declared by affixing her mark by the above named Alice Noonan as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us, both being present at the same time who at her request and in her presence, the said will being read over and explained to her in our presence, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Annie Kennedy    John G. Higgins.
