Will of Charles Newhook
This is the last will and Testament of me Charles Newhook late of Trinity but now of Saint John’s Shipbuilder. I give devise and bequeath unto Charles James White of St. John’s aforesaid, Foundryman, and to his wife Evangeline, equally with him, share and share alike, all my real and personal estate and property, whatsoever. And further it is my will and I do hereby appoint and declare that the portion of the Estate and property so given devised and bequeathed to the said Evangeline White shall be held by her for her own use and behoof forever, and be free from all control of her said husband. And I do hereby constitute and appoint the said Charles James White my sole Executor. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and declare this my last will and testament this twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety five Charles his x mark Newhook Signed and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
