Last will and Testament of
James Murray of St. John’s
Merchant deceased
All the papers including 3 documents
relating to a building in front of Evening Tel. Office on Duckworth Street,
are in possession of W. J. Herder who will give them
you £1075.
St. John’s Newfoundland March 5th1883. Being about to leave home and not knowing whether I shall ever return
alive, I hereby give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane or
Jeannie Murray all my property of whatever nature or kind soever, and all my real
and personal estate, and all my goods properties, monies, shares and interests
without reservation of which I may die possessed for her sole and absolute
use and behoof, and to be disposed of as she may determine, including my
present business of all kinds with my best love and undying affection.
As witness my hand this fifth day of March 1883 (sgd) James Murray
I certify the foregoing to be
a correct copy of the last will and Testament of James Murray deceased
