In re
Michael Murphy deceased.
This is the last will of me
Michael Murphy of Old Petty Harbor Road St. John’s farmer and I
revoke all former wills by me made I appoint Patrick Murphy of St. John’s
Road Inspector, to be the executor and trustee of this my will (referred
hereafter as “my trustee)
1. I bequeath to my daughter
Catherine Densmore the sum of six hundred dollars
2. I bequeath
to my trustee in trust for my son Patrick
(a) two thousand
dollars and
(b) the two houses and land on the northside of
Water Street west St. John’s. My trustee to transfer the said houses
and land and pay over the said two thousand dollars to my said son on
his attaining twenty one years of age The income or revenue therefrom to be paid over to my said son Patrick annually until my trustee transfers and pays over as aforesaid and my
trustee is at liberty if he so desires to pay out of the said two thousand
dollars such sum or sums as may be necessary for the maintenance or advancement
of my said son Patrick before he attains said age.

I bequeath to my Executor one hundred dollars to be paid over by him
as in his discretion he sees well for masses to be offered for the repose
of my soul and the souls of my wife and son
4. I bequeath the residue of my estate to my son James.
In witness whereof I have set my hand to this my will this 11th day of
August 1910 Michael his x mark Murphy Signed by the testator Michael
Murphy by making his mark in the presence of us both being present
at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other
and after the foregoing will had been read over to the testator in our
presence signed our names as witnesses Jas.
