Will of Anne Murphy from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 226 probate year 1928

In re             DECEASED.
ANNE MURPHY.

This is the last will and testament of me Anne Murphy, widow of the late Patrick Murphy of Topsail road. I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time made and appoint my son Peter Murphy to be the sole executor hereof. I give devise and bequeath to my said son Peter Murphy all that piece of land situate on Topsail Road containing about seventeen acres together with the dwelling house and all other erections thereon and the appurtenances to my son Peter Murphy for his life and on his death to his son Michael Murphy absolutely. In the event of my grandson Michael Murphy dying before his father Peter then the said land and premises shall on the death of my said son Peter become the property of Peters surviving children in equal shares.

All the rest residue and remainder of my property goods chattels and effects I give devise and bequeath to my said son Peter absolutely. If my son Anthony Murphy now in Boston should return to Newfoundland and find himself in distress it is my desire that my son Peter should help my son Anthony to the sum of one hundred dollars.

In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name this 20th day of November 1919.
