In re
George Mugford deceased.
In The name of God Amen. I George
Mugford being Sick but of sound mind and understanding I dispose of my
wordly effects in the following manner I will and bequeath to my wife
Lavinia the Dwelling House House hold effects the two Kitchens gardens
also the garden south of the Railw track as long as she lives a widow
in my name or remove to any other house and after her decease or removal
it is to become the proptery of my son Johi John is to look to the welfare
of His mother for her part of the proptery
I also will to William on
half the undivided land Sout of the fence and room to plant two Barrels
of potatoes for his own use at the sout end of the garden and if he chose
to build a House he is to have a building lot next to Ernest
also I will to Ernest the piece of Grown that I gave him and to take Thirty
five feet back from the sout end of his House for stabel and cellar room
the same breath as he now claim also the easternmost half of the undivided
land also he is to have the use of clared land enoug in the back garden
to plant one Barrel of potatoes until he get enough of his own fenced
and clared
I also will to my
son John the front garden also the small garden down
by the Brook also Horse and Harnesses carriage cart dray wheels plough
snow Slide carpenters tools gun and watch all farming utensils stabel
cellar outhouse and all my moveable effects I make
him my sole successor and claimant if he should build a dwelling House
he can remove the old one and build in the same place on the same conditions
the road trough the gardens to the back land is to remain as now the
land if for their use and their Heirs forever for generations to come
and Should my wife remove to any other house she is forbiden to take
anything only her own clothing
Ernest is to
use the Hors and gear to do the work about his ground also William is
to have the free use of the Horse and Gear to do his work and to earn
anything that may come in his way
I also will to my two daughters
Jessie and Sarah Jane Fifty cents each which John is to pay (and to John I will one Hundred and Twenty dollars) any other money leaved after my
funeral expense is paid is for my wife Lavinia and all
money received from the Sale of produce is for her own use and at her
disposal Signed published and declared by the Testator
as his last will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence
at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed
our names as witness I also appoint Aubary
Newell to be my executor to this my last will and
Testament signed Sealed George Mugford (LS) witnesses Aubrey
Newell George Ralph.
