Will of Stephen Morris
from Newfoundland will books volume 7 page 192 probate year 1902

The last Will and Testament of
Stephen Morris,
late of St. John's, Master Mariner, deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of me Stephen Morris of St. John's, Newfoundland, Master Mariner and I hereby revoke all former wills by me made.
(a) So long as my daughter continues unmarried, all the annual proceeds of my estate shall be paid during my wife's life to my wife and daughter in equal parts.
(b) If my daughter shall be unmarried at my wife's death, all the said annual proceeds shall thereafter be paid to her during her unmarried life and on her marriage or death, whichever shall first happen, all my estate shall be divided equally between my children who shall then survive
( c) If my daughter shall marry during my wife's life, the said annual proceeds, after such marriage, shall be paid to my wife for her life and, on her death, all my estate shall be divided equally between my children who shall then survive
(d) If my daughter shall predecease my wife and shall not have married the said annual proceeds shall be paid to my wife for her life and, on her death, all my estate shall be divided equally between my sons who shall then survive.
I appoint my son Henry Charles executor of this my will. Dated at St. John's this twenty third day of August nineteen hundred and two. Stephen his x mark Morris Signed (by his mark) published and declared by the said Stephen Morris as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers who in the presence of the testator and of each other have hereto subscribed our names as such witnesses the same having been first read over and explained to the testator before he so signed by his mark.       I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will of Stephen Morris.
