Will of Patrick Morris from Newfoundland will books volume 15 pages 578-579 probate year 1932

IN RE          DECEASED.
Patrick Morris

This is the last will and testament of me Patrick Morris of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland retired Bank Manager made at St. John's aforesaid the 24th day of June A.D. 1931 (one thousand nine hundred and thirty one.)
I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made.
I appoint my son Michael Morris and Edward Whiteway of H.M. Customs to be the executors of this my will.
I give devise and bequeath to Mrs. Whiteway, wife of the above mentioned Edward Whiteway the sum of one hundred dollars; to my adopted sister Kate Morris the sum of three hundred dollars; to William Hayes, carman, the sum of one hundred dollars; to Laura North, housekeeper the sum of one hundred dollars; to Sister Josephine and Sister Agnes Halleran of St. Patricks Convent, St. John's, the sum of twenty five dollars each; the Rev Father D. O'Callaghan the sum of one hundred dollars, fifty dollars as a gift and fifty dollars for masses for the repose of the souls of myself and my wife Annie Morris; to the Catholic Extension Fund for Priests the sum of fifty dollars; I direct my executors to expend the sum of eighty dollars for two High Masses for the repose of the souls of my wife and myself, one to be celebrated at St. Patricks Church the other at the Cathedral.
I direct my executors to engage George Reid successor to the firm of McIntyre to have the memorial cross on my wife's monument in the cemetery taken down and my name inserted thereon and to expend the sum of twenty dollars therefore.
I give devise and bequeath to Rev. Father T. Cougk, Portugal Cove the sum of fifty dollars, twenty five dollars as a gift and twenty five dollars for masses for the repose of the souls of my wife and myself; to Rev Father Sheehan, Ferryland the sum of fifty dollars, twenty five as a gift and twenty five for masses for my wife and myself .
I direct that the sum of one hundred dollars be expended for my burial expenses.
I direct that the sum of seventy five dollars be expended on the education of my grand daughter Edna at the Memorial University and the sum of seventy five dollars be paid to the Mercy Convent for the education of my grandchildren Mary and Annie Morris.
I give and bequeath my interest in the policy on the life of my grandson Frances Morris in the Crown Life Insurance Coy. No. 69774 to my said grandson.
I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my property of every description to my sons Thomas and Michael absolutely share and share alike.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name to this my will the day and year first above written.

I Patrick Morris of St. John's retired Bank Manager declare this to be a codicil to my will executed today.
I give devise and bequeath to the Fathers of the Blessed Sacrament 184 East 76th Street New York U.S.A. my shares in the New World Life Insurance Coy. for masses for my wife and myself.
In all other respects I confirm my said will.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name to this a codicil to my said will the 24th day of June A.D. 1931
