from Newfoundland will books volume 12 page 468 probate year 1923

In re
      JOSEPH MORRIS.          DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Moores MorrisWFL of Trinity, Trinity Bay in the Island of Newfoundland, Merchant.    Being of sound and disposing mind and in good health thus publish and declare my last Will and Testament revoking and annulling all former dispositions of my property.

I give and bequeath to my wife the sum of Three Hundred Dollars a year for life as long as the business is carried on, and to occupy three rooms in the Dwelling I now occupy during her life, after her decease the said rooms to be considered with the rest and residue of my property left to my only son Fred.
And to my Grandson Harvy V. Morris I give and bequeath the house known as Sea Side Villa and land adjoining, same to be his, and in case of his death it revert back to my only son Fred.

      I further give and bequeath to my daughter Effie Tulk the sum of Two thousand dollars (2000.00), said amount to be paid at least within four years after my decease.

      To my Grandchildren Harvy V. Morris, Rosalind Morris, G. Davey Tulk and S. Rupert Morris I give Fifty Dollars each.

      All the residue of my estate real and personal after my debts, funeral and testamentary expenses are paid I give and bequeath to my Son Fred same to be his absolutely and I hereby appoint him sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament.

      In witness whereof I hereby set my hand and Seal this Fourth day of January Anno Domini 1918.    JOSEPH MORRIS.

Signed, Sealed and Published delivered by the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have signed our names as witnesses.
