Will of Edward Morey
from Newfoundland will books volume 7 page 174 probate year 1902

The last Will of Edward Morey late of
Bonavista Fisherman deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of Edward Morey of Bonavista. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Bridget now the wife of William Joy my dwelling house cow and stable also a garden west of the dwelling house bounded on the east by Catalina road north my stable my garden south Peters Morey land
I give devise and bequeath unto my grandson James Fitzgerald the garden called Leggs garden
I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Bridget now the wife of Wm. Joy all the rest of my property except one meadow bounded on the west by James Browns Garden on the north by James Moreys land on the east by Joseph Carrolls land on the south by James Bishops land which is to be left in care of my daughter Bridget and to be sold to bury me if required and if not she is to have it with the rest of my property
I hereby appoint Thomas House to be the executor of my will I hereby revoke all other wills and testamentary and depositions by me at any time heretofore made In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this twenty-seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven Edward his x mark Morey. Signed and pronounced by Edward Morey in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names witness Patrick Quinlan Thomas House.

      I certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of the will of Edward Morey.
