Last Will and Testament of
Henry F. Moore of St. John's
Gentleman deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me Henry F. Moore of the City of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Gentleman. After the payment of all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses, and as a just charge on my estate.
To my eldest son John Taylor Moore of St. Anthony I will and bequeath the sum of one thousand eight hundred dollars.
To my son Joseph Moore I will and bequeath the sum of Fourteen hundred dollars and one half the premises together with Flakes stages boats stock or property of any nature whatsoever, that may be at the time of my decease, at St. Anthony in the electoral district of St. Barbe, excepting the dwelling house now occupied by my son Frederick.
To my son Frederick Moore I will and bequeath the sum of Fourteen hundred dollars, and the remaining half of my premises with Flakes Stages boats stock or property of any nature whatsoever that my be at the time of my decease at St. Anthony in the electoral district of St. Barbe, together with the dwelling house now occupied by him.
To my daughter Hannah Jane Soper I will and bequeath the sum of Two thousand dollars and all that piece or parcel of land situated on Mondays Pond road said property having been purchased by me from Thomas Spry formally of this city. Also to my said daughter Hannah Jane Soper, I will and bequeath the dwelling house No 34 Cook Street now occupied by her husband Albert Soper and at present mortgaged to me to be held by her or her heirs until such time as the mortgage is paid.
To my son Henry Thomas Moore I will and bequeath the sum of two thousand two hundred dollars, also my right title and interest in and unto that leasehold property situated on the Southside of Duckworth Street immediately east of T & W Winters new building held and subleased by me to Patrick Paterson Baker also a dwelling house No     Barron Street and at present in the occupancy of John Scaplin.
To my son Richard Moore I will and bequeath the sum of Two thousand two hundred dollars, and the dwelling house No 14 John Street now in the occupancy of Captain Golder, together with all my furniture, books pictures or property of any description whatsoever that may belong to me in said dwelling at the time of my decease.
I will and bequeath to my children John Taylor, Joseph, Frederick, Hannah Jane, Henry Thomas and Richard Moore and to be equally divided amongst them if living or to their lawful heirs, besides amounts bequeathed them in this will, whatever moneys either in my possession or due me at the time of my decease.

The several amounts bequeathed in this my last will and testament is deposited and invested as follows,
with A. S. Rendell & Co. Four thousand nine hundred dollars
In the Bank of Montreal saving department two thousand dollars
In the Bank of Montreal deposit eight hundred and eighty dollars
In the Government Saving Bank eight hundred and fifty dollars
In the Bank of Nova Scotia Saving department Two hundred dollars
Secured by mortgage on land and dwelling house situated on LeMarchant Road in the occupancy of Robert K. Bishop. Three thousand dollars.

I also earnestly request that this my last will and testament shall be acceptable to my children as I consider I have made a just and equitable distribution of all moneys and property in my possession, and further that my children shall not under any circumstances enter into any litigation whatsoever on account of any act of mine in connection with this will.

I appoint Arthur S. Rendell Esq. and my son Joseph Moore of St. Anthony to be the executors of this my last will and testament and to the said Arthur S. Rendell I bequeath the sum of Twenty dollars as a slight recognition of his services. I expect my son Joseph Moore to act as my executor without compensation. I hereby revoke all other wills by me made at any time heretofore In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred (sgd) Henry F. Moore. Signed by the said Henry F. Moore the Testator in the joint presence of us and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. (Sgd) John Bogan Senr. (Sgd) John Bogan Jr. 1900 October 17th gave son Richard Moore six hundred dollars on loan if he cannot pay it back it is to come out of the money leaved him by me on this will (sgd) Henry F. Moore.

    I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Henry F. Moore deceased
